EMODnet Data Ingestion

Mis à jour le 25/03/2024

Objectives

EMODnet Data Ingestion facilitates the submission of dormant marine datasets for further processing, for publication as Open Data and for contribution to societal applications.

The project aims at streamlining the data ingestion process so that data holders from public and private sectors who are not yet connected to the existing marine data management infrastructures can easily release their data for safekeeping and subsequent distribution through EMODnet with the support of its data ambassadors.

This initiative started in 2015 with the first project “Ingestion and safe-keeping of marine data”. The consortium is currently proceeding the third phase.
